What it is

Bash Bros drops up to eight fighters onto city rooftops. Punches build knockback as damage grows, and a fighter is knocked out by a fall into the void or at zero health. The last hitter within eight seconds gets the credit.

Each element has its own directional power and on-hit effect. Fire throws an exploding fireball that burns, Water sends a ground wave with the strongest knockback, Electricity fires a branching bolt that stuns and chains, Earth raises rock spikes, and Air adds a double jump, held flight, and a splitting tornado.

Players can also roll, crouch, and throw flying kicks in the air. Bots fill the match to eight while at least one human plays, and a ninth player waits in a queue until a slot opens.

The City arena is free. The Cathedral map, with stained glass, vaults, stairs, and healing fonts, plus elemental glows and other looks, can be unlocked with learning credits earned in the Classroom.

Captured features

Inside the project

Five elementsThe lobby offers all five elements, the free City map, and the Cathedral that learning credits unlock.

Capabilities

Key features

Five elements

Fire, Water, Electricity, Earth, and Air each bring a distinct power, status effect, cast pose, and aura.

Knockback brawling

Alternating punches, flying kicks, and rolls with hit-stop and growing knockback decide who rings out.

Bots and queueing

Bots keep matches full around human players, and late arrivals join the running match.

Two arenas

The free City rooftops and the unlockable Cathedral offer different routes, heights, and falls.

Games Hub profiles

Under the hood

How it works

  1. 1A TypeScript server runs a 20 Hz authoritative simulation over Socket.IO, owning movement, hits, powers, knockback, and ring-outs.
  2. 2The Three.js and Vite client predicts local movement, reconciles with the server, and interpolates other fighters.
  3. 3Rigged glTF characters, PBR textures, bloom, shadows, and recorded CC0 sound effects with positional audio build the presentation.
  4. 4Match stats are stored in SQLite and reported to the Games Hub, which also validates learning-credit unlocks.
